AFC Alsager has invited two former Stoke City players to speak at its 2025 Sportsman’s Evening fundraiser event.
Ricardo Fuller and Mamady Sidibe will be at Alsager Civic tonight to discuss their careers in professional football, including their time together at Stoke City.
Sidibe arrived at the Potters in 2005, while Fuller joined a year later. They spent eight and six years at the club respectively.
Sidibe made 168 appearances in all competitions for Stoke, registering 26 goals and 14 assists. Most of those were in the Championship, but he did appear 48 times in the Premier League, scoring five goals.
Fuller made more appearances than Sidibe, despite spending less time at Stoke. He scored 50 goals and assisted 23 times during his time at the Bet365 Stadium (formerly Brittania), with 18 goals and nine assists being achieved in the English top flight.
More recently, Fuller had spells at Nantwich Town and Hanley Town, before retiring in 2020. He now works as a coach at the club’s academy.
The AFC Alsager event costs £45 to attend and includes a meal from local restaurant Indian Heaven.
