Hall Farm Shop in Alsager is set to close down at the end of August due to its owners retiring.
Stuart and Karen have run the store for 18 years, but have made the decision to retire due to their ‘advancing years’, as well as Stuart’s health issues.
Karen posted on the company’s Facebook page: “Both of us have loved running the business over the last 18 years, it has been an honour to serve all our customers and be part of the wonderful Alsager community. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us from the bottom of our hearts.
“A special mention must also be made to our fantastic staff, without them none of it would have been possible.
“The Courtyard Cafe will continue, so please carry on coming down to the Farm to support Jane and her team.”
More than 60 people have commented on the post announcing the store’s closure, with many disappointed to see it go.
One customer posted: “Oh no that is very sad news. We will be really sorry to see the shop go. We will struggle to find anywhere that sells such high quality meat.
“We will also desperately miss the friendly service in Hall Farm Shop, and your personal attention to detail when we’ve had special orders.
“Thank you so much for being wonderful for so many years.”
Another posted: “Oh my gosh, not what I was expecting to read!
“We will miss the shop and all of you, always fabulous fresh and tasty produce & the friendliest, helpful staff too. All good things must end sometime!
“May retirement be all the healing you need 💚✨️💫… wishing you both a long & very happy new beginning.” 😊 Xx
The shop will close for the final time on August 30.
