Alsager business owner raises £26,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support

A restaurant owner in Alsager has raised more than £26,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support after going on a lengthy run.

Brad Lancaster, who owns the Vault, went on an 80-mile ultramarathon in support of the charity, for a cause close to his heart.

Lancaster’s grandmother passed away last year after a battle with lung cancer. His decision to specifically run 80 miles was because it would have been her 80th birthday this year.

The Alsager businessman completed the run in late May, finishing outside his Crewe Road restaurant.

He posted on Facebook: “A massive thank you to everyone who helped support my 80-mile run! A huge thanks to everyone who donated and supported on the evening. What a great accomplishment to have raised over £26,000.

“Was amazing to see our community come together to support such a great cause.”
