Alsager Cricket Club’s chairman has been invited to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace, where he will have the opportunity to meet King Charles II.
Alan Stancliffe, who has chaired the club for many years, will be honoured for his service to the community of Alsager.
Alsager Cricket Club posted: “We are privileged to have him [Alan] at the helm of our fantastic club and am sure you will join us in congratulating him on such a well deserved honour.
