Tickets are on sale for the Alsager charity bonfire and fireworks on November 2, as the Round Table prepares to raise money for local charities and the community.
The Round Table organises a number of Alsager’s annual events, including the carnival, one world festival, music festival and the Christmas Santa float.
It is made up of volunteers, including its press officer, Daz Antrobus, who helps the group in his spare time when he is not live on air as a presenter on Cheshire’s Silk Radio. He joined the Round Table a year ago.

He said: “I had an initiation that I can’t tell you too much about. We’re a group of men and there was a lot of beer.
“I joined the Round Table to make new friends and connections. It’s a bunch of great chaps who do lots of events for Alsager throughout the year raising money for local charities and community projects. It’s a great feeling putting on events for the town I now call home.
“We have about 15 members, but they have families and aren’t always available. We’re open to new members and if anyone would like to join they can do so by messaging the Alsager Round Table Facebook page or website. The more the merrier.”

Membership to the Round Table is open to men aged 18-45 and it has a sister organisation called the Alsager Ladies Circle. Locals can support the group by going to its events, including the bonfire and fireworks night on November 2.
Taking place at the Plough Inn on Crewe Road, a fairground will open at 4:30pm, followed by the lighting of the bonfire at 5pm, before the firework display at 6:30pm.
There is no parking available and personal fireworks, sparklers, aerosols and alcohol are not allowed.
Tickets can be bought here and cost £7 for adults, £5 for children under 16, while families can buy a ticket for two adults and two children for £21. The event is free for under 2s.
