Two bodies have been found in Glen Coe in the search for Tom Parry, 49, and his 12-year-old son Richie.
They have not been formally identified yet, but Tom and Richie’s family have been informed.
The father and son were originally reported missing yesterday after they did not return from their trip to the Scottish Highlands.
Police Scotland said enquiries were ongoing, but there were no apparent suspicious circumstances.
Inspector Craig Johnstone said: “Our thoughts are with all those involved. I would like to thank all emergency services and Mountain Rescue volunteers.”
Mr Parry was a market researcher, while Richie had recently joined one of AFC Alsager’s new under-13s teams.
Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this sad time.
